Since the holidays provided a few long weekends for me, I was finally able to catch up on some movie watching! I am a big fan of the Twilight books, so when I was offered the opportunity by www.MommyBearMedia.com to review the movies, of course I took it!
The first movie was Twilight. Twilight tells the story of Bella Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) who moves to Forks, Washington to live with her Dad. Her Dad also happens to be the local sheriff. Bella meets the mysterious and (natch) handsome boy Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson) who is a vampire. Edward is attracted to Bella, but tries to hide his vampireific self from her! Of course their on-screen chemistry is undeniable and this movie will appeal to teenager girls and the love-lorn alike!
The next movie was New Moon and was not my favorite. Edward was absent for most of the film after an accident on Bella's birthday reminds him that her life is always at risk when he is around. The person who helps Bella heal her broken heart is her friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner -- oh my!), who is a member of a tribe of werewolves. At one point in the movie Edward believes that Bella is dead. Edward decides that he will commit suicide, but is stopped by Bella. Edward and Bella are reunited -- more follows, but I don't want to ruin the story for you!
The third movie Eclipse was my favorite -- it had all the makings of great action film -- a lot of fight scenes with human/vampire/werewolf loving interspersed! No actual sex though as Edward wants to wait to be married first! So refreshing!
