Zarbees has long been my "go-to" product when my kids have gotten sick so when they agreed to do a product review with giveaway for me, I was super excited!
The packets are what is in the box to the far left in the first picture :)
Here they are individually -
My kids do not get sick very often - at most 3 or 4 times a year. Interesting though how Daniella got a cold literally the weekend after these arrived!
She LOVED the regular Zarbees cough syrup and liked the nighttime one but really did NOT care for the Cough & Sleep Drink. It was kind of fizzy plus it is warm which I think was just odd to her. Being 2, the only warm thing she drinks is breast milk! And she is like her Mama - doesn't care much for fizzy drinks :)
But - I will say this - her cold was completely gone in about 48 hours. Seriously. No remaining cough, not lingering runny nose. How many people can say that? :)
This was a few months ago when I first received their products in the summer. Then both of the kids got a cold in late fall, early winter. Brought my Zarbees back out and knocked it out fast again! Brandon (10) liked the Cough & Sleep Drink much more than Daniella did. And it really did help him sleep without coughing fits! Daniella's cough was really soothed by the nighttimes cough syrup - she slept so much better while taking it!
I really love the ingredients lists for each of these products -
Honey Powder, Ascorbic Acid, Natural Flavors, Elderberry Extract, Malic Acid, Zinc Sulfate, Melatonin
Proprietay blend of buckwheat and other dark honeys, water, natural flavors, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), malic acid (natural fruit acid to boost immunity), zinc gluconate, tartaric acid
Proprietay blend of buckwheat and other dark honeys, water, natural flavors, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), malic acid (natural fruit acid to boost immunity), zinc gluconate, mesg-pg (plant extract to preserve freshness) and melatonin
All three of these products are intended for children 12 months and older. Mamas, please never give honey or honey based products to infants due to botulism concerns!
The only thing that I really disliked was how sticky it is and when it runs down the outside of the bottle it makes a big mess. But its main ingredient is honey so it is completely understandable! Honey is some amazing stuff!
Zarbees has asked me to mention that they have a BRAND NEW product JUST FOR BABIES!! It is so new that it isn't even sold on their website yet.
Introducing Zarbee's BABY Cough Syrup for infants 2 months and older. Available at Target! Made from Agave syrup, natural grape flavoring and other natural ingredients to soothe and comfort your little ones coughs. Look for the bee in diaper at Target stores everywhere!
I specifically asked Zarbees (just to make sure) if there was honey in this product.
I asked, "So just to make sure I fully understand, honey is not an ingredient in the baby cough syrup? Just asking because infants under 12 months should not have honey due to botulism."
His response, "You are correct. We DO NOT put any honey in the BABY cough syrup for that very reason."
IS THAT AWESOME OR WHAT???? A SAFE, NATURAL COUGH SYRUP THAT YOU CAN GIVE TO YOUR BABY!!!!!
And guess what - there is one included in the giveaway prize pack!!!
I suggest you go check out Zarbees. This is a serious sick time of the year. Buy it up in bulk so you have it on hand!!
