Life is all about the highs and lows ~ giveaway! Ends TONIGHT!

We all have ups and downs in life -- sometimes they're small and sometimes they're not so small.  For Steven Izen, his was not so small.  While he was in his freshman year at Cornell University, his grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.  Steven felt helpless.  He knew that there was not much he could do but sit back and watch his grandfather deteriorate.

Steven wondered how some parts of life could be so "aligned" and others so out of whack?  It was then that he was moved to create the lokai bracelet!  Steven set out to create something that would give a sense of balance that could be worn.

The lokai bracelet contains elements that are found in the highest and lowest spots on the earth.  There is a white ball that actually contains water from Mt. Everest!  The black ball actually holds mud from the Dead Sea!  These balls are at opposite ends of the bracelet.  A string of clear beads link them and signify life's circular path.

Life is a dance of highs and lows, so without having been at a low point, you could never appreciate the high points!  Wear the lokai bracelet to remind yourself that you should try to strive to reach a balance between the highs and lows.

lokai bracelets can be found on www.mylokai.com.  I found the lokai very comfortable to wear - especially since I type all day and my arms generally rest on my desk.  The bracelet did not impede me at all and most times I forgot I was wearing it!  Not only is is comfortable it looks great and I usually wore it with other pieces of jewelry as well with ease!

lokai has generously agreed to send one of my readers a bracelet of their own!  U.S. only please.  Enter using the Rafflecopter below.

  23. The low in my life was when my 37 yr. old husband had a heart attach and was in intensive care for 18 days and they told me he would not survive. I had just had my second child, recently left my job and we had just bought a home. I could only visit him for ten minutes a day 3 times a day. The high was when he survived and came home. I still check to see if everyone is still breathing while they are sleeping. I don't think anyone is ever the same after a scare like that...

  47. The lowest point in my life was 10 years ago when I was in a car accident where I was driving and two of my friends were in the car with me. We all survived but two of us had very serious injuries. We recovered but I felt as if my life had ended. I had a broken leg and other major injuries and because of my weight it was really hard on me. Before the car accident I had many things in the works such as moving out on my own, I had a great paying job and was in school. I had a lot of friends and was loving being out on my own. After the accident though I was thrown into a deep depression and it honestly changed me in so many ways. I have gotten through the worst and still have some problems every now and again but no matter what I will never forget what I went through because during my low time I did try to commit suicide but thank goodness for my real friends that I had because they got me through some rough stuff. Now, I am dating my best friend who helped me the most and I couldn't be happier, now.
