Definition: The act of being out in a social public setting (restaurant, bar, coffee shop) and only spending time on your mobile device instead of the people around you.
Used in a Sentence:I would have loved to catch up with Cindy, but she was nocializing the entire time we were at the bar!
I see this all the time. I even went out with friends nd two of them had to be on FB and texting during the meal. I felt snubbed and offended actually. While social media, phones, and the Internet are great they aren't everything!
I don't like this. I don't like when I'm with a group eating lunch and they can't get off their phones to order or join in the conversation. I know that it will happen some times, but for the most part checking FB shouldn't be a priority when you are with others.
Good point Monica, I have several people that are nocializing all the time.
