Scott's Liquid Gold Wood Cleaner & Preservative Review

I love wood -- I love the grain, the story it tells and I really love vintage wood furniture.  That's why when I was asked to review Scott's Liquid Gold Wood Cleaner & Preservative, I was prepared!  I was sent the bottle shown below for my honest review, but was not compensated in any way.

Scott's Liquid Gold contains natural oils -- I could actually smell almond (honestly it smells good enough to eat!)  Scott's is a wood cleaner that restores the natural color of your wood and grain -- you can see by my pictures how my dining room table looked before using Scotts:

Kind of cloudy and scuffed (thanks to my dear kids!)  :)

Now after Scott's Liquid Gold:

WOW!  Shiny (but not slick) and amazing wood -- I couldn't believe the difference.  I started cleaning and all my wood furniture with Scott's Liquid Gold.  The thing that I really like about it is that it is not a wax, so no waxy buildup.  You can also use it to clean you stainless appliances, chrome and brass.

Scott's is celebrating their 62nd year and their plant is still manufacturing their products in Denver, Colorado.  I appreciate products that are made in America.  Scott's has many other products as well that you can find on their Facebook page:  HERE  You can also connect with Scott's on Twitter:  @scottliquidgold

Here's a half and half -- can you tell which side was done with Scott's Liquid Gold?

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  5. I have known about this product for years and never tried it. I did not know you could use it for stainless steel and brass. I have plenty of uses for it in my house and I think I will give it a try.

  6. I LOVE Liquid Gold. I remember being wee tiny and my mother cleaning all of her dark wood bedroom furniture with it. The smell just makes me feel 5 again. :) It makes the house smell so yummy, and does a fantastic job of repelling dust.

  7. You can absolutely see the difference and the fact that you do not get the waxy feeling is so much better than what I use now.

  8. That is amazing! I love that it can bring new life into a piece that has seen better day (I now need to run out and get a few cans of this!).
I love that it is made in Colorado and can be used on a variety of surfaces and not just wood too!
