you have to be carful when feeding them. if not you will mess up the water and they can out grow there tank
ReplyDeleteThe water requires salinity checks and a weekly change of a proportion of the water.
ReplyDeleteyou might have to remove air bubbles from the jellyfish. My husband truly would love this!
ReplyDeleteYou cannot use tap water!!! You can make your own salt water using distilled water; just make sure the salt is completely dissolved before you add it to the tank.
ReplyDeleteWeekly 25% water change and salinity check. Jellyfish require a special tank such as our Desktop Jellyfish Tank designed specifically for jellyfish. In a regular fish tank, they would get sucked into the filtration intakes.
ReplyDeleteI find it intriguing that they can develop air bubbles ... usually they expel them as they swim around but if one gets lodged then you gently manipulate it by hand to expel.. I think I'd enjoy that in an odd way... touching a jellyfish (obviously very carefully) seems oddly fascinating to me.
ReplyDeleteOkay... I have to say it. This is one cool giveaway! 25% water change, a salinity check and daily feeding? Probably easier than maintaining a discus tank! Groovy!

ReplyDeleterequire daily feeding and weekly 25% water change
ReplyDeleteIt would be okay to skip a weekend feeding; as long as they are given extra before and after.
ReplyDeleteThey need a special tank so they dont get sucked into the filters. This is really neat btw.
ReplyDeleteThey require daily feeding.
ReplyDeleteThe salinity of the tank needs to be checked in order to make sure it's balanced. If it's too high or low, you need to make a water change.

When feeding squirt food in the tank, but away from the jelly fish. From what I read in the guide it's a great idea to purchase a salt water testing kit to make sure of water levels.
ReplyDeleteThey require daily feeding and a weekly 25% water change and salinity check .
