Does your family love Christmas candy as much as mine does? This year Nestle has made it easy to please them!
You can fill their stockings with the brand new Pixy Stix Powder-filled Candy Canes ($2.49), the really HUGE (and yes, I mean HUGE) 1 pound Nestle Crunch Bar ($9.99) and the Stocking Stuffer Tins that include Baby Ruth, Butterfinger, Crunch, 100 Grand, SweeTARTS, NERDS and Laffy Taffy ($2.99)!
My boys are teenagers and STILL love Nestle candy! The best part about Nestle aside from tasting great is that they won't break your bank.
Here's the recipe to one of the easiest treats you can make using Nestle NERDS:
Ingredients:
1 package (16.5 oz) Nestle Toll House Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar Dough
1 container (16 oz) prepared white frosting, divided
Red food coloring
2 quart-size plastic food storage bags
Frosty WONKA NERDS, various holiday sprinkles, sugars and decorating gels
Mini pretzel twists, broken for ornament hook (24 hooks needed)
24 Nestle Jingles, any flavor, unwrapped
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 24 mini-muffin cups. Place one square of cookie dough into each cup.
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes until golden brown. Cool Completely in pans on wire rack. Using the tip of a butter knife, remove cookies from pans.
Spoon half of frosting into plastic bag. Stir food coloring into remaining frosting in container until desired color is reached. Fill other plastic bag with colored frosting. Cut 1/2 inch from corner of each bag. Squeeze bags lightly to pipe frosting on top of each cookie cup to form rounded ornament shape. Decorate with NERD, sprinkles, sugars or gels. Place Nestle Jingle on top of each. To adhere hook, use a small amount of icing.
Voila!
