October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
I support Breast Cancer Awareness because early detection is the key to prevention! I am a Stage 3B survivor and know first-hand that finding breast cancer early comes from getting regular mammograms so please, please, please make your appointment now!
Swiffer supports Breast Cancer Awareness by partnering with Cleaning for a Reason, an organization that works with more than 1,000 local and professional maid services to bring meaning to cleaning by helping women focus their energy on fighting cancer. Since 2006, the partner maid services have volunteered their time to clean for over 17,000 women. They offer four cleanings to women with any cancer, once a month for four months! How great is that?!
Swiffer has created pink products, which you can pick up at Walmart. Or you can win them in this great giveaway hosted by Drugstore Divas and A Bride On A Budget. Two lucky winners will win a prize pack with a $25 Walmart gift card, plus items from Crest, Bounty, Oral B, Olay and Pantene, as well as a Swiffer Duster.
This giveaway starts now and ends at 11:59pm EST on October 13. To enter, you must be a US resident who is 18 or older. The winner(s) will be contacted via email and will have 24 hours to respond before another winner is selected.
Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI have a relative and a friend who have both survived breast cancer.
Breast cancer awareness is so important to me because my mother-in-law's mother and grandmother passed from this awful disease. She gets more than regular mammograms.
ReplyDeleteI think it is important, because, well, I have breasts that could one day have cancer and if that day comes, I hope there is a cure!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway, this disease devastates so many.
ReplyDeleteI ama survivor of Breast Cancer, but my Aunt passed due to it. Early detection is the key, I found mine in the beginning stages. This is because of Aunt, women laugh when I say you really have to KNOW your breasts, The moment the doctor says you can get a mammogram get one! A early Baseline is very important! If you cannot afford one there is a group out there (sorry forget who they are) that will pay for you to have one. Don't forget SAVE THE TATA'S!
ReplyDeleteI lost my mom and a close friend to breast cancer and am helping another close friend who is going through it
ReplyDeleteIt's important to me because my great grandmother had a double mastectomy, my mom's mom has had breast cancer a few times and has full blown terminal bone cancer, my mom has also had breast cancer and a few other types of cancer throughout the years. So I definitely have to be careful and now that I have an almost 2yr old daughter, I have to keep an eye on her as well.. So October is a big month for us. But thank you for the giveaway just the same.
ReplyDeleteI have a relative who has breast cancer.
ReplyDeleteCancer has passed through 3 generations on my Mom side of the Family. Needless to say after losing my Mom to breast cancer, I worry for my children and myself. Each year that passes is a celebration for life.
ReplyDeleteI think its important for all women to get screen as soon as possible.
ReplyDeleteMy Mothers sister died from Breast Cancer, my Mother has had breast cancer, and one cousin, the cousin who's mother died from breast cancer, therefore I am often reminded of the breast cancer significants.

I've had 3 aunts (one died) and my sister-in-law with breast cancer and my sister is going through ovarian cancer now.
ReplyDeleteMy mom currently has a biopsy for a lump in her breast scheduled for this Wednesday. I had a fibrous adenoma when I was younger and I'm hoping that is all it is. The 7 days it takes to hear results is going to feel like forever. I haven't personally been touched thus far by breast cancer and I hope it stays that way.
ReplyDeleteBreast Cancer Awareness Month is important to me because I hate all cancers, period. Too many people have been affected by breast cancer and I think awareness for research is a big step in finding a cure. Thanks.
