Did you know that bacteria passes between foods cut on your cutting board? Food poisoning is a real possibility if your cutting board isn't properly cleaned after each use. It's important that you have at least two boards - one for fruits, vegetables, bread and anything that can be eaten as is. The second is used for raw meats, fish and poultry. A recent report found that 80 percent of all chicken from the grocery store is contaminated with Salmonella, Campylobacter or both. You don’t want that in your salad or on your strawberries!
Cutting a head of lettuce after butterflying a chicken breast is just like licking the raw chicken. So scary!
That's why I was thrilled to try CC Boards. This set comes with three sizes: the large board measures 13.75 x 9.5", the medium is 11.5 x 8" and the paddle is 13 x 6.5". The non-skid silicone rubber handles make cutting easy and keep the boards firmly in place. The juice grooves keep liquids on the board instead of your counter top.
The boards are all dishwasher safe, which gives me comfort that I am not contaminating my family. They don't warp, splinter or peel. I've put them in the dishwasher many times and they come out sanitized and safe every time. The handy handles can also be used to hang these boards too.
You can find this set of boards on Amazon. In my opinion they are worth every penny!
Disclosure: I received this set of cutting boards in order to facilitate my review and in exchange for my honest opinion, which remains my own.
