Boys and Their Cars!

This is a sponsored post.

I've read about self-driving cars about to hit the market, but that doesn’t help me today.  As a single Mom with two boys out of their teens, all three of us need transportation for jobs, college and just generally being able to live life.  I am pretty much in the "buy one car and let it be my ride for a long time" camp, but my boys are of a totally different view.  They want to grab life enthusiastically and in order to do that they need just the perfect car.  And, for each of them, what is the perfect car has changed twice since they purchased their first cars at age 18.

There is no better aid in their car analysis than Cars.com.  On the site, my boys can research potential purchases by make or type.  They can look at both new and used and can read reviews on particular models.

When my oldest son deciding between two model years of the same car, Cars.com told him what they liked about each model year and what they didn’t like. It is like having your own personal assistant at your side as you consider what you want and need for your next car purchase.

Once the boys decided what type of vehicle they wanted, Cars.com helped them find where that car is located.  It showed them the dealers that have the car of their dreams, where they are, and how much they want for the car.  The boys can read the reviews of the cars before setting foot on the car lot.  This armed my boys with the knowledge of both what they wanted and how much they wanted to spend long before getting to the dealer.

If knowledge is power, Cars.com makes my boys powerful indeed.  They are prepared to really look at cars that they are already focused on when they get to the lot.  This is much different from my early twenties when I would go to a dealer with only a vague idea of what I wanted other than transportation and totally unsure of price.

I love being able to see if a car I am interested in has been recalled.  I also love the videos and other links that show my sons how to change their oil or change a tire.  For boys that grew up with out a father to teach them those things, I am grateful to Cars.com for giving them the power to help themselves with minor auto matters.

If you are in the market for a new or used car, you owe it to yourself to go on Cars.com and spend some time surfing their site. It will be money well spent.

  6. There's so much more available information than when I bought my first car. I think when you're making such a large investment, it's great that you have resources like cars.com.
